LATE APRIL 2026
NEW SHOWBAG! ALBUM ~ WATERHOUSE ~ OUT 17 APRIL Waterhouse marks the long awaited return of Glenn's hi-feel lo fi band Showbag! ~ bringing a collection of songs first written in the mid 1990s into the present with the band’s unmistakable indie rock spirit. Born out of share house living, late nights, and the emotional confusion of young adulthood, these songs capture a young songwriter trying to make sense of love, identity, and self doubt in a time when emotional openness in men was rarely spoken about. Instead, the truth hid inside metaphors and coded confessions, wrapped in crooked indie pop. Click on the new SHOWBAG! page or more details and the SHOP page to order the album APRIL 2026
SHOWBAG! RELEASE SECOND SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM My hi-feel lo fi band Showbag! release their second single Break My Arm, on Friday 10 April; a melodic indie rock track that blends quirky instinct with emotional weight. Built around the line “don’t break my arm when I put it in your hands,” the song captures a sideways expression of vulnerability, masking a deeper fear of heartbreak. It’s a perfect snapshot of my bands new Waterhouse album, where metaphor and honesty sit side by side. Break My Arm will be out on all platforms, ahead of the album release. GLENN'S DEBUT BAND, SHOWBAG! RELEASE A SINGLE THEIR FIRST SINGLE IN TWENTY YEARS Showbag! return with All I’ve Got, the first single from the upcoming album Waterhouse. Originally written in the mid 1990s and now brought back to life, the track captures the band’s unmistakable blend of lo fi texture, melodic instinct and emotional honesty. A rollicking indie rock song at heart, All I’ve Got moves between off centre imagery and direct, vulnerable lines, reflecting the raw spirit that defined the band’s early work. As the first glimpse into Waterhouse, it marks the beginning of a long awaited new chapter, with more music and shows to follow in 2026. CAROLINE '25 ARRIVES OUT 8 AUGUST 2025 There is a storm brewing beneath the harmonies in Caroline. A brooding and emotionally raw song that walks the line between vulnerability and defiance. With its soft and ominous verses and soaring choruses, Caroline captures the uneasy quiet of a relationship fracturing and the loud ache that follows. In exciting news, the song will be exclusively available on a 7" vinyl single, at the bands one-off reunion concert in Perth on 23 August. |

NEW NORDEENS SINGLE: BEFORE IT BREAKS OUT 25 JULY 2025 Gearing up for our reunion concert in Perth on 23 August, The Nordeens have dropped a new song called Before It Breaks. It opens with tense, driving guitars and a raw, confessional energy. The verses hit like a storm - barely held together, channeling the emotional intensity like it was written by the members of Biffy Clyro after being locked inside a prison cell for five years. There’s urgency in the vocal, direct, cracked open, as he asks, “Wish I could calm down before I break?” Then comes the release: a huge, open-sky chorus built on the repeated cry for “some compassion.” It’s a song revering the moment before collapse, when you say what you really mean, even if it’s five years late. |
